Set in the stunning countryside of Tuscany, the Villa Moorings
Hotel Barga offers the ideal place to relax, unwind, tour some of
the world’s most fascinating cities and sample some of the
finest wine there is.
Tuscany has long been a haunt of the world’s elite. The stunning
landscape, invigorating climate and exquisite culinary delights
create an unforgettable flight of the senses in the memory of all
those who visit this part of the world, and that’s not to
mention the history and culture of the region that gave the world
the Renaissance; Michelangelo, Da Vinci, Dante, Luca Toni, the list
goes on.
The picturesque village of Barga sits in the luscious valley of
the River Serchio, just between the Appenine hills and the Apuan
Alps. About 30km south is the town of Lucca and a little bit further
on, Pisa. (If you drink enough fine Tuscan wine the tower begins
to appear straight.) Florence, the Renaissance capital of the world,
is about 50km as the crow flies to the south east and Bologna, home
of Italy’s first University, is about 100km north east.
